Corrections and Updates

This is a list of corrections and updates issued for the printed version of the program. It will be updated throughout the conference. If you have a correction to be noted, please email netsci17@iu.edu with the subject header "CORRECTION."

Satellites

Network Science for National Defense, scheduled for Monday morning, has been cancelled (pg. 30).

Lightning Talks

"Macroscopes for Making Sense of Science and Technology" will be presented by Stephen Uzzo (pg. 50).
"Revisiting controllability of complex networks" has been cancelled.

Panels

The Funders Panel will begin immediately following the Editors Panel at 6:45 pm until 7:30 pm (pg. 53).

Parallel Sessions

In all sessions from 4:10-5:50, the length of the 5:10-5:30 presentation slot was printed incorrectly. All oral presentations have 20 minutes, including those that begin at 5:10 pm. (pg. 65-74, 79-82)

Biology, Wednesday, June 21, 2:00-3:40 pm (pg. 63)
"Minimal functional networks: How much network do you need to live?" scheduled for 2:20 pm has been cancelled.
"The price of complexity in financial networks" will be presented at 2:20 pm.

Social Media II, Wednesday, June 21, 4:10-5:40 pm (pg. 67)
"Emergence of Echo Chamber Networks: The Effects of Social Media Mechanisms" has been moved to the 5:30 pm slot.
"Dynamics of Disagreement: Large-Scale Temporal Network Analysis Reveals Negative Interactions in Online Collaboration", which will be a virtual presentation, has been moved to the 4:10 presentation slot.

Posters

New Posters
P1215: "Preferential attachment and edge rewiring in container shipping" will be presented by Michael Kitromilidis.
P1216: "Organization and hierarchy of the human functional brain network lead to a chain-like core" will be presented by Tommaso Gili.
P1217: "Percolation thresholds for photonic quantum computing" will be presented by Mihir Pant.
P1218: "Macroscopes for Making Sense of Science and Technology" will be presented by Katy Borner.

Poster Changes
P1008: Towards integrating white matter topology in the Human Connectome: The extended connectome has been withdrawn.
P1033: The name of one the authors, Soodabeh Milanlouei, of "Phases of Physical 3D Networks" was misspelled.
P1052: "Pioneering topological methods for network-based drug-target prediction" corrected authors are Claudio Duran, Simone Daminelli, Josephine Thomas, Joachim Haupt, Michael Schroeder and Carlo Vittorio Cannistraci (pg. 94).
P 1065: The poster has a new title, "Emergence of scaling in complex substitutive system." (pg. 96)
P1152: This poster has a new title, "Network process versus network composition: Evidence of independent effects in the 2014 FIFA World Cup", and the authors are: Andrew Pilny and Yannick Atouba (pg. 108).
